Julia McGary is a Boston-based photographer with a heart for capturing life’s most meaningful moments. Born and raised in the area, Julia has spent years behind the lens, turning personal milestones into timeless keepsakes. From her own engagement and wedding to welcoming her daughter in May 2025, photography has been her way of holding onto the moments that matter most.

Now, Julia is working on building her photography portfolio while enrolled in Cornell University’s Digital Photography certificate program. For Julia, photography isn’t about chasing perfection, but about preserving connection. The curl of a newborn’s hand, the laughter between friends, the quiet in-between moments that tell a story.
